- Platform Evolution in 4 Stages Migrated from Heroku monolith to AWS EC2/Docker, then to Kubernetes on kops, and finally to managed EKS nodes
- CI/CD Reinvented Jenkins pipelines and Helm charts enabled fast, rollback-safe releases – even during live production
- Reliability by design Zero-downtime release, blue-green deployments, and rollback capabilities were built into the process
- Infrastructure as code Terraform and Packer made scaling and replication fast, consistent, and audit-proof
Success Story
To accelerate delivery without sacrificing reliability, Informa needed to move beyond the limitations of its Heroku-based monolith. K&C led a phased transformation to a microservices architecture running on Kubernetes, ultimately landing on a fully managed AWS EKS setup — all completed in live production with zero downtime and full rollback capability at every stage. A complete CI/CD pipeline was established using Jenkins, Helm, SonarQube, and GitHub workflows. This enabled automated testing, consistent environment creation, and fast, safe deployments — eliminating the need for code freezes. Blue-green deployment strategies and zero-downtime rollbacks became standard. Today, Informa benefits from a modern DevOps setup that delivers new features at speed, supports continuous innovation, and scales effortlessly — all while maintaining a strong focus on platform stability and business continuity.
