We are recruiting a senior QA engineer with significant experience in Progress tools and the AWS environment. 

You will join a new team we are establishing with a long standing client – the world’s biggest events company – and will benefit from the mature strategic relationship between our two companies. 

Reporting to the Marketing Data Platform Manager, you will take a senior role in the QA approval process of business requirements (aligning with product strategy) of a key data application serving multiple divisions across our client’s group of companies.

The role will be embedded within a dynamic Scrum team, serving projects, QA testing, test automation, whilst primarily supporting following technologies: .Net front-end, Progress back-end, Progress RDBMS, integrations & AWS components.

This is a majority-remote role but would ideally be based within Poland or elsewhere in central Europe to enable travel to our office in Krakow as required. 

Responsibilities

• Focus on developing QA test scripts and executing the test scripts.
• Setting up test automation, contributing to continuous improvement of application, services and integrated systems.
• Stay up to date with QA/unit testing technologies/automation to support future test automation and test coverage across all areas of the marketing platform.
• Analyze and review functional and technical requirements in collaboration with the Scrum team.
• Ensure QA testing results align against industry (OWASP) and internal standards.
• Support the testing of- and test complex integration scenarios and interfaces between several systems, collaborating with internal and external dependency teams.
• Ensure test coverage is maintained at acceptable levels.
• Foster self-organisation within the Scrum team.

Required Skills

You can demonstrate Senior knowledge in the following technical areas:

• Programming and Infrastructure platforms used, Progress Software, .Net, SQL, AWS components & Mulesoft integrations.
• N-Tier application architectures.
• Code quality best practice and tooling e.g. Postman, Progress Software ABL unit, Browserstack, Sonarqube, Github Advanced Security, etc.
• Issue tracking tooling across development, specifically Jira.
• Administrative task installation, configuration and use of test automation tools, supporting development and infrastructure platforms used.

Experience

• 4+ years’ experience QA testing web-based applications with cloud-based infrastructure.
• Experience with several testing methodologies & techniques, functional testing, UI testing, regression testing, etc.
• Experience with test automation/code quality tools, like Postman, Progress Software ABL unit BrowserStack, Sonarcube, Github Advanced Security, etc.
• Experience working with internal and external dependency teams.
• Experience working in Agile delivery, specifically Scrum.
