Senior DevOps Engineer
DevOps Engineer
Terraform, CI/CD & Observability — Next Gen Platform
Location: Cairo Egypt
About the Engagement
Krusche & Company (K&C) is looking to expand our team working on a project for a confidential client — a growing intellectual-property protection business (content protection for movie and TV studios, and brand protection against counterfeiting) that is consolidating several legacy platforms onto a new greenfield “Next Gen” platform. You will join a blended K&C + client engineering squad, working directly inside the client's own repositories and to their engineering standards.
Role Summary
Our client manages all of its infrastructure as code via Terraform and ships through GitHub Actions on AWS. As a DevOps Engineer you'll own and evolve that infrastructure, strengthen CI/CD, and build out the observability needed to run a fast-moving, AI-accelerated engineering team reliably.
Key Responsibilities
· Own and evolve the client's Terraform-managed infrastructure across its AWS environments.
· Build and improve CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions supporting the Go/Next.js Next Gen platform.
· Implement observability instrumentation — metrics, logging and tracing — to give the engineering team visibility as delivery speed increases.
· Support platform reliability and scalability as legacy platforms are consolidated and traffic patterns shift.
· Work with the client's security team to help meet ISO 27001-aligned controls and general security posture.
· Partner with backend, data and fullstack engineers to unblock infrastructure and deployment needs quickly.
Required Skills & Experience
· Strong hands-on experience with Terraform managing production infrastructure.
· Solid experience with GitHub Actions or an equivalent CI/CD platform.
· Deep familiarity with AWS core services.
· Experience implementing observability/monitoring stacks (metrics, logging, tracing, alerting).
· Comfortable working with Go-based services and PostgreSQL/ClickHouse/Redis-Valkey data stores from an operational perspective.
· Security-conscious approach to infrastructure, ideally with exposure to ISO 27001-type controls.
· Proven experience integrating into an existing client/product team rather than working in isolation.
· High day-to-day proficiency with AI/agentic coding tools, ideally Claude Code.
Nice to Have
· DevSecOps experience or interest in expanding into a security-focused remit.
· Experience acting as a bridge/interim hire ahead of a permanent team member starting.
· Experience supporting a platform through a legacy-to-greenfield migration.
Working with AI
Our client runs an AI-first delivery practice and uses Claude Code extensively across the team. You're expected to be highly productive with agentic coding tools day to day. They are equally clear that raw speed only helps when it's matched by clear specifications and strong automated testing — so a disciplined approach to QA and well-defined architecture is just as important as fast implementation.
Why This Role
Join a team that treats infrastructure as a craft, not an afterthought — with the added upside that strong performers here have a genuine path to a permanent seat on the team.
