The average Angular developer salary in the USA is $115,061 a year or around $6900 a month.
But in Ukraine or Poland, the average Angular developer earns $4000-$5000 a month or $48,000-$60,000 per annum. And taxes are much lower, which means employers have to pay much less than they would expect to on a comparable salary in a high wage economy.
And how much more would Angular developer rates be through an agency or outsourcing partner? The developer’s salary has to be covered and the provider needs to earn a margin that translates into a sustainable business model.
This means you can expect to pay between 20%-30% more than if you were to employ developers directly for the convenience and flexibility of doing so through an IT outsourcing partner.
In this study of international Angular development salary ranges, we have collated the best public salary data sources available for each of the territories covered. The salary or rates a particular Angular developer commands is of course heavily influenced by the rest of their tech stack and level of seniority.
But these figures, updated every 6 months to 1 year, will give you a good overview for current international ranges for Angular developer salaries and rates. We will look specifically at salary data from:
- Germany
- Switzerland
- United Kingdom
- Poland
- Ukraine
- United States
Angular developers are in demand
After React.js, Angular is the most used JavaScript-based frontend framework in web development today. The most recent State of JavaScript survey found that 54% of all developers that use JavaScript frameworks and libraries in frontend web development had used Angular in the past year.

That means that frontend and fullstack software developers with Angular are in high demand. But it also means there is a deep pool of developers with varying degrees of Angular experience. High levels of commercial demand mean JavaScript developers are incentivised to master Angular.
But how do high levels of demand and supply influence the salary Angular developers can command? Or the rates you can expect to pay a software development agency or IT outsourcing partner for Angular developers? Let’s find out:

Angular developer salary ranges in Eastern Europe – Poland and Ukraine
Historically, organisations from the high wage economies of Western Europe and North America have heavily recruited IT specialists from Eastern Europe for cost efficiencies, either directly by setting up R&D centres or through IT outsourcing providers.
In recent years, the gap between the salaries commanded by Angular developers based in Eastern Europe and higher salary economies in Western Europe and elsewhere has significantly reduced. That has come about through a combination of steadily growing global demand outstripping supply of experienced IT specialists giving developers greater leverage and the rise of remote working as a familiar and accepted model.
However, there are still savings to be made, especially on tax and social security contributions which tend to be much lower in Eastern Europe. And the high quality of developers from the region, and deep pool of talent available, mean the region remains popular for IT recruitment.
Here we’ll look at the salary ranges commanded by Angular developers in Poland and Ukraine, the region’s two largest markets for IT specialists, despite the terrible war with invading Russia that continues in the latter’s eastern regions.
