WordPress Developer (m/w/d)
We are looking for a reliable and experienced WordPress Developer to support the ongoing development, optimization, and maintenance of our company website. This is a part-time freelance role of approximately 8–10 hours per week.
Location: Remote, Egypt
Department: Marketing
Collaboration with: Marketing Team and LLM Architect
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new WordPress Gutenberg blocks and optimize landingpages
- Maintain and improve the existing WordPress website
- Manage, update, and troubleshoot WordPress plugins
- Ensure website stability, security, performance, and responsiveness
- Support technical SEO and GEO initiatives, including improvements for AI and LLM-driven discoverability
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing Team on campaign requirements and website updates
- Work together with the LLM Architect to support content structure, metadata, and AI-readiness of website pages
- Identify and recommend improvements to website usability, loading speed, and scalability
- Provide technical support for website-related issues and ongoing improvements
Requirements & Skills
- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer
- Strong knowledge of WordPress CMS, themes, plugins, and custom development
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and responsive design
- Ability to build reusable website components and landing page templates
- Good understanding of website performance, SEO fundamentals, and technical best practices
- Experience with plugin management, troubleshooting, and website maintenance
- Familiarity with tracking tools, analytics, forms, and marketing integrations is a plus
- Interest in or experience with GEO
- Structured, reliable, and proactive working style
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
