Project background. Everything started with a startup idea to create a commercial platform where auto owners and workshops could meet. The platform provided users with a wide range of service offers, advertorial opportunities, and community interaction.
Growth. The startup was backed by a transnational corporation, being a major manufacturer of auto electronics and spare parts in the EU.
Market demand. A monolith platform was in demand only for a while. Moreover, the market size does not allow to cover all investment and maintenance costs. The workshop holders were not interested to contribute, although they were ready to get a useful website’s functionality on a paid basis.
That is how the market demand defined the new client’s request.
Client’s request. To develop a technical solution that ensures multi-tenancy and allows selling functionality by parts, without any brand connection. The required solution’d provide for both multi tenancy and seamless integration with potential tenants' portals and sites that exist already.
K&C team developed technical solutions and made the client’s business idea work. We offered our ideas on:
Concept SolutionA white label concept was adopted. That allowed producing technological solutions customized for different companies without any brand connection.
Back-end SolutionWe got aside from the solid platform and used a microservice architecture to gain lightness and flexibility.
Front-end SolutionFlexibly managed widgets were created. K&C developers built npm-modules to provide different tenants with different sets of widgets without additional development. As a result, we developed seamlessly integrated widgets, so that end users couldn’t see any difference between the site and the WL widgets.
