We are recruiting a Technical Project Manager with a strong understanding of technical infrastructure components, experience with designing, implementing, and managing infrastructure solutions, fluent English and strong communication skills on all levels. This is a hybrid or fully remote job embedded with our client – a major software group.

 

Experience and qualifications

  • Infrastructure Knowledge:

    • Strong understanding of infrastructure components such as servers, networks, storage, and virtualization technologies.

    • Experience with designing, implementing, and managing infrastructure solutions, including on-premises and cloud-based environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).

    • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code principles and tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) for automated deployment and configuration management.

  • Microsoft Technologies Proficiency:

    • Knowledge of Microsoft server technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange.

    • Experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, Azure Networking, and Azure Storage.

    • Proficiency in deploying and managing Microsoft Office 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams.

  • Project Management Tools:

    • Proficiency in using Microsoft Project or similar project management software for planning, scheduling, and tracking project progress.

  • Security and Compliance:

    • Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements related to infrastructure and Microsoft technologies, such as HIPAA, GDPR, and ISO 27001.

    • Experience in implementing security controls, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

  • Integration and Migration Experience:

    • Has basic knowledge in integrating Microsoft technologies with third-party systems and applications.

    • Ability to plan and execute infrastructure migrations, including data center migrations, server migrations, and cloud migrations.

  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

    • Proficiency in monitoring and optimizing the performance of infrastructure and Microsoft technologies using tools such as Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), Azure Monitor, and Performance Monitor.

  • Documentation and Reporting:

    • Strong documentation skills for creating technical design documents, configuration guides, and operational procedures.

    • Ability to generate and present project status reports, including key metrics, milestones, and risks, to stakeholders and senior management.

  • Vendor Management:

    • Experience in selecting and managing vendors and service providers for infrastructure and Microsoft technology projects.

    • Ability to negotiate contracts, define service level agreements (SLAs), and ensure vendor performance meets project requirements.

  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning:

    • Knowledge of disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning (BCP) principles and practices for infrastructure and Microsoft technologies.

    • Experience in designing and implementing DR/BCP solutions to minimize downtime and data loss in the event of disruptions or disasters.

  • Training and Knowledge Transfer:

    • Ability to provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams and end-users on infrastructure and Microsoft technologies.

    • Commitment to promoting knowledge sharing and building internal capabilities to support ongoing operations and maintenance.

  • Political and communication:

    • Is able to communicate on all levels in the business.

    • Can handle political challenges.

  • Language skills: English fluent, German nice to have
