We are recruiting a senior UX/UI designer to work on the user-facing applications of our client. a U.S. start-up in the blockchain/DeFi space. 

A remote role based anywhere in the EU or Azerbaijan, you will have the opportunity to develop your career in Web3. Our client is developing a non-custodial, peer-to-peer, permissionless lending, borrowing and trading system implemented for the Ethereum Virtual Machine that requires no governance or external price feeds to function.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of the UI (70% effort) / and assist with the UX (30% effort) for our desktop and mobile front end.
• Assist us in translating complex technological docs and concepts into a highly usable and intuitive user-centric product.
• Attend and participate in ideation workshops. Be able to walk team(s) through concept/design explorations.
• Review of how our client’s business & engineering teams see the needs/goals/issues/tasks of its users… ability to refine our problem statements/hypotheses
• Build stable UX prototypes of medium to high interactivity to refine interactions and flows
• Build us a site map, style guide or style tiles (outlining app’s typography and color pallete), several mockups of the UI’s different pages and assist us with wireframes.

Your experience

• Highly skilled at the craft of design with demonstrated experience consistently delivering targeted, high-quality results to deadlines.
• Able to use good judgment to guide projects and overcome obstacles.
• You excel at cross-functional collaboration, particularly with engineers and business teams.
• You have a good grasp of the Web3 domain and a clear understanding and ability to articulate design principles.
• You have experience working on enterprise software design at a professional level with a focus on designing for blockchain technologies.

Requirements

• 4+ years of product design experience (ideally in Web3) – everything from product strategy to design documentation (Web3 for complex dashboards)
• A portfolio that demonstrates strength in visual design, storytelling, and experience designing modern, usable interactions and UIs, highlighting your customer-centric approach to design with business and customer impact.
• Ability to articulate findings and next steps drawn from user research.
• Expert-level experience with one or more developer handoff platforms (Zeplin, Figma, etc.) Figma would be preferable.
• Able to write excellent UI copy.
• Skilled at crafting detailed interactions.
• Able to understand and fine-tune visual hierarchies to align with user priorities.
• Skilled at creating excellent flows from scratch, taking into account technical
considerations as well as business needs and users’ contexts.

Will be a plus

• Experience building products consumed by developers (and the relevant technical skills to lead this work).
• Broad understanding of DeFi, traditional finance, currency, money markets and TradFi.
• Ideally past experience working on products for these markets.
