We are recruiting a senior mobile developer with React Native for a remote role with an ambitious and quickly growing German group in the experience-based tourism and events market.

Our customer provides a booking system for tourism and leisure activities in the “experience. Recently the company has been acquired to form a new group with two further former competitors.

The group is building a unified platform that takes the strengths from each formerly independent brand with the goal of becoming the sector’s global leader. You will join an international company full of challenges and opportunities.

The mission in brief

The main responsibility will be taking care of our client’s existing mobile application (ticket scan app). App users can validate their tickets on-site. On iOS, the app is available both for iPhones and iPads.

You will subsequently be part of a team responsible for building a new mobile app for the new platform, providing a smooth and seamless experience to our clients based all around the world.

Job Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise and provide timely solutions.
• Compliance with App Store regulations
• Develop and maintain mobile applications using React Native.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new features.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in mobile development.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise and provide timely solutions.
• Contribute to the overall improvement of development processes and best practices.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in React Native development – candidates with active experience with the library in the last year will be given strong preference.
• Experience with JavaScript and relevant libraries.
• Knowledge of mobile architecture patterns.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration.
• Familiar with writing tests for your application
• Understanding of version control systems, preferably Git.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficient English
