We are recruiting for a remote role as a senior Java developer with Spring and, ideally, Angular to join the quickly growing team of our client, an exciting SaaS startup in the logistics space. You would join more than 50 other developers and IT specialists building out the platform and products of an international logistics startup and software company founded in 2015.

Our client is focused on the development of intelligent software solutions for the smart purchasing of logistics services, including both freight tenders as well as short-term rate requests for transports in the online marketplace.

Our customer currently has 50+ employees and has BIG plans for growth!  The startup is more than ready to become the world’s best logistics eProcurement platform, making it as easy as buying pizza with your phone.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend systems and web-based, front-end applications
• Manage and maintain the data model and enforce database quality standards
• Develop and extend test coverage of existing codebases
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure all customer requirements are met
• Support ongoing development for existing projects/applications
• Identify opportunities to leverage new technologies to enhance our customer’s products
• Build fast, reliable, real-time web-based applications
• Participate in many aspects of delivering a project (architecture, planning, communication, documentation, metrics, and execution)
• Write maintainable tests while you code
• Play an active role in developing our team culture and maintaining a quality codebase through code review, sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Ensure code quality by defining and participating to technical architecture and code review processes

Your Profile & Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working as a full stack java developer and experience in software development life cycles
• Experience or advanced familiarity with Java, Spring, Hibernate and PostgreSQL
• You enjoy working in a team
• Ability to think strategically, proactive and analytical
• You love to write clean code
• Fluency in English is mandatory, every other language, for example German, is considered a strong asset

Bonus points for:

• Experience with Angular and Typescript
• You are interested in learning about logistics and procurement processes
• You have previous experience in a SaaS start-up
