We are recruiting a senior back end developer with Python to work on a project within the AdTech division of our customer, a well-known German technology company.

The customer’s AdTech division promotes free and independent media with intelligent advertising technology. Our client empowers their customers by monetizing their users with efficient AdTech products.

Standardized. Automated. AI-powered. This is accomplished through a microservice landscape to serve a wide range of clients.

The project & responsibilities

  • Our customer’s Metadata Team builds the aggregation systems for all videos that the whole organization publishes on their websites, apps and partner applications.
  • They are a Serverless first team that relies primarily on managed services on AWS and writes its code mainly in Python.
  • Their core API runs several microservices that interface with the teams around them and orchestrate the workflow and lifecycle of the content.
  • Software development of the Nonlinear Distribution Metadatastore (NLDMS).
  • Development of software for migration of content from legacy systems to NLDMS.

Requirements

  • University degree in computer science, information technology, media engineering, or equivalent
  • Python – 3 years+
  • AWS – 3 years+
  • GraphQL – 2 years+
  • NoSQL – 2 years+
  • Git – 2 years+
  • Gitlab CI – 2 years+
  • Serverless Infrastructures – 2 years+
  • Solid professional project experience in software development (>= 3years) – especially software written in Python
  • Familiar with terms like GraphQL, NoSQL, git, Gitlab CI, etc.
  • Passionate about AWS cloud services and serverless infrastructures
  • Serious about code quality, automated software tests & automated deployments
  • Some sort of data affinity, we do a lot of data aggregation, mapping, transformation etc.
  • English – proficient

  • A Serverless mindset
  • Experience in building front ends using React
