Senior Back End Developer with Java Spring

We are recruiting a senior back end developer with Java Spring to help develop the new projects of one of Europe’s most succesful sports media. The role is remote, giving you a wonderful opportunity to develop your career with experience at a significant European media that is one of its industry’s true innovators.

Their goal is to provide interesting, up-to-date and reliable information covering a wide range of sports topics. They are always at the location of the event and monitor it for you. It doesn’t matter to them whether it’s a local tournament or a world championship. If your favorite team or athlete is in it, they are there broadcasting for you.

With our customer, every fan will find something for himself – news, comments, analysis, statistics and interviews with the most interesting personalities from the world of sports – competitors, coaches and fans. Their services include providing packages of sports information, divided thematically and composed of news, commentary, analysis and live scores.

The Projects

Our customer will start the integration of betting feeds on their website themselves as well as integrate betting providers using 3rd party data providers.
Here there will be further need for new features as well as handling large amounts of data.

Furthermore our customer would like to integrate 1 further provider which will help create a wider range of options for their customers.

Responsibilities

Abstraction of data / handling and processing
Overseeing of the project and pushing it forward together with the customer’s Technical Lead

Your profile and experience

Strong Java development experience (3 years+)
Spring experience (3 years+)
Microservices (1 year+)
Experience with optimization of non-relational databases (preferably MongoDB)
Solid understanding of Abstraction (2 years+)
Experience in handling and processing large amounts of data
Experience in SCRUM environments
English – proficient

Will be a plus

Experience in MongoDB
Experience in Docker
