We are recruiting an Automation Engineer with proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, expertise in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, fluent English and strong team player capabilities. Find a full list of the required qualifications below.
This is a hybrid or fully remote job embedded with our client – a major software group.Â

Infrastructure Automation Expertise:
Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet for automating the provisioning and configuration of infrastructure resources.
Experience in writing declarative infrastructure code to define, deploy, and manage cloud resources in platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Knowledge of container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes for automating the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):
Expertise in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI for automating the build, test, and deployment processes.
Proficiency in configuring and managing CI/CD pipelines to enable fast and reliable software delivery cycles for infrastructure changes.
Scripting and Automation Skills:
Strong scripting skills using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automating routine tasks, system configurations, and deployment processes.
Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef for automating server provisioning, configuration, and maintenance tasks across multiple environments.
Infrastructure Monitoring and Logging:
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), or Splunk for tracking infrastructure performance, identifying issues, and troubleshooting failures.
Ability to set up automated alerts and notifications to proactively detect and address infrastructure issues before they impact service availability.
Infrastructure Testing and Validation:
Experience in designing and implementing automated tests for infrastructure components using frameworks such as Serverspec, Testinfra, or Terraform’s own testing features.
Proficiency in writing test cases and validation scripts to ensure the reliability, security, and compliance of automated infrastructure deployments.
Team Player:
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, DevOps engineers, and project managers.
Willingness to share knowledge, provide technical assistance, and collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve automation workflows.
Clear Documentation and Communication:
Commitment to producing clear and comprehensive documentation, including infrastructure diagrams, deployment procedures, and automation scripts.
Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitating understanding and collaboration.
Problem-solving and Troubleshooting:
Expertise in diagnosing and resolving automation-related issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions to improve infrastructure reliability and efficiency.
Proven track record of implementing effective troubleshooting strategies, debugging automation failures, and optimizing automation workflows for performance.
Continuous Learning and Innovation:
Commitment to staying updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in infrastructure automation, DevOps methodologies, and cloud computing.
Eagerness to explore innovative solutions, evaluate new tools and frameworks, and propose recommendations for enhancing automation processes and driving operational excellence.
Language skills:Â English fluent, German nice to have
