I’m Tired of Blockchain Hype, Are You?

In these days, there is not a day without news about blockchain technology, ICO, and the start-ups that use them. Does it mean that every tradesman at the market has to own its own blockchain to become successful? Let’s figure it out.

Understand, then implement

In the last year, the hype around cryptocurrency and blockchain has led to the fact that they began to be used, it seems, in all possible start-ups. At this, even the project founders often do not fully understand what they are dealing with.

Most often, such a “figure it out as we go” approach leads to multiple mistakes, like the implementation of the wrong tech stack, for the sole reason that everyone is talking about it. But the most horrible feeling for an entrepreneur is to realize that you just spent a whole fortune on technology that you don’t in fact need. This is what happens when there is nobody to advise or stop you!

Therefore, before you try to introduce blockchain into your existing start-up or create a new one, you need to spend some time on theoretical preparation. For example, at K&C, we are always honest with the client, no matter how bitter it is. Yes, surely, we can develop blockchain, and if it turns out to be inappropriate, then ignore the client’s objections. But we do not behave like that. We don’t see the value for our reputation, or the client’s reputation, in acting in such a way.

Blockchain is not a panacea, but a trial medication of sorts

Despite the increased attention from the media and business, blockchain has not proved to be so useful so that it has become mainstream. Right now it’s just a tool that has its pros and cons, which you need to remember if you want to set a startup based on blockchain.

Moreover, remember that there are many different variants, similar to blockchain, but at more reasonable prices. You’re not obliged to follow the tendencies just to be seen to be keeping up with the Joneses.

I believe that your project is unique enough to follow its own technical requirements, blockchain or not. But if you’ve already made up your mind regarding blockchain, then my team and I will be more than glad to provide you with our expertise in this question.
