We are recruiting a senior back end developer with Serverless experience to take a key role with our team developing a live television streaming app for our client, a major German multi-media group.

The app is free and will remain that way, allowing users to stream over 60 TV channels live. There is also a media library that you can use to stream series and shows, as well as originals and exclusives, i.e. series that you can only watch on our client’s app.

Responsibilities

The engineer will be working on enabling the chat functionality integration into our client’s frontend applications. The work involves integrating the third-party chat application into streaming content and data pipelines for users to navigate seamlessly from the live stream to chat functionality.

The chat functionality also allows users to tag each other, provide direct feedback on the content and subscribe to channels. The integration also involves syncing the playback of live streams into the chat functionality.

The role requires deep expertise in Typescript, AWS Lambda and NodeJS.

5 years+ experience, or the ability to demonstrate the equivalent expertise, in:

• Serverless (AWS Lambda)
• TypeScript/Node.JS
• AppSync, Websockets

A proficient level of English is also required.
