We are recruiting a senior Azure DevOps engineer for a remote role with the team supporting our client, a highly specialised German financial services blockchain technology consultancy.

Through unparalleled experience in delivering highly complex software solutions and helping financial institutions to realise measurable results, they are trusted by clients all around the world as their reliable partner for Distributed Ledger Technology, Security Tokenization and Robo Advisory.

Responsibilities

You will work on modern cloud platforms, with an emphasis on Azure, and design project-specific environments to quickly roll out and operate applications. You are part of an agile team that independently develops customer-specific software and ensures it’s deployment and operation.

• You monitor the lifecycle of cloud applications, including CI/CD, logging, and monitoring.
• You are responsible for the configuration of Cloud services.
• You ensure the operation of systems and services and support the development team to make applications stable and well-monitorable.
• You further improve the level of our infrastructure (e.g.scalability, improve monitoring, introduce alerting). Priority of the measures to be decided on yourself in alignment with me.
• Support research and fixing of production incidents.
• Create new tenants with our custom-made tenant deployment tool and to align with the developer of that tool to further improve automation of tenant deployment.
• Support developers in their day-to-day business, e.g. with Gitlab pipelines, dev and stage environments.

Requirements

• You are an Infrastructure as a code specialist.
• You have a degree in computer science or comparable and have at least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Ideally, you provide solutions for monitoring, log analysis, and alerting tools.
• Experience with scripting and configuration management. You can write scripts to automate routine tasks.
• You have practical knowledge in most of the following technologies (ideally Azure): Terraform, Gitlab CI/CD, Microsoft Azure, Prometheus and Grafana, Docker, Kubernetes, and Scripting Languages, e.g. Python.
• Professional level of English.

Will be a plus

• Excitement for blockchain, Web 3.0, and similar decentralized technologies.
• Experience in the financial service domain or capital market domain.
• Interest in financial topics (i.e. carbon markets).
• Basic understanding of information security, e.g. DDos-Protection, and code scanning tools.
• Experience with distributed systems and container orchestration. You have maintained or even built Kubernetes clusters before and feel comfortable deploying completely new services on them gives you a considerable advantage in this role.
• Familiar with the following tech stack & motivated to learn more: Go(Lang), PostgreSQL, Node.JS, GIT, NoSQL, Elasticsearch, REST.
• A strong desire to grow and challenge yourself.
• Interest and/or experience in blockchain and other distributed ledger technologies.
• Agility, self-organization, and hands-on mentality.
• Result orientation, conceptual and analytical thinking.
• Comfortable operating in an agile environment.
• Collaborative by nature; willing to give and receive feedback.
• You have fun doing your work and hence being good at it.
• Very good English skills round off your profile.
