Move your career up a level with a new role as team lead helping to build the customer-facing applications of Germany’s largest adventure and experience gifts brand! The group is expanding quickly with new brands and verticals including a tour operator, leisure community, a booking platform and new SaaS product. 

K&C is looking for a senior fullstack tech lead with React and Node.js to join one of the new development teams being created to drive the group’s digital evolution. 

This fullstack role prioritises React, which is required at a senior level, and Node.js at an advanced level. We are also recruiting for another fullstack team lead role which requires Node.js to a senior level and React to advanced level. For more details on that role, see here. 

Your role:

• Designing, implementing and operating customer-facing products to increase the entire online purchase experience.
• Building mobile first, customer facing frontend applications with focus on SEO and performance.
• Improving custom tooling and libraries, used across multiple teams.
• Partner with our software engineers, product owners and UI/UX designers in creating and continuously improving end-to-end solutions.

• Building microservices and self-contained applications including polyglot persistence.
• Building scalable and cloud-ready software solutions in our AWS environment.
• Working in a team of software engineers, product owners and UI/UX designers in creating and continuously improving end-to-end solutions.

You should have:

• Experience in building robust and maintainable frontend applications and REST interfaces.
• Excellent software engineering skills and solution driven way of thinking.
• Experience with React or other declarative UI frameworks is a plus.
• Experience in AWS or other cloud environments is a plus.

• Experience in building, integrating and operating highly distributed applications (Microservices, SOA, self-contained-systems)
• Experience in event-driven architectures, messaging patterns and Apache Kafka is a plus
• Excitement about creating end-to-end solutions for our customers
• Passion for knowledge sharing and willingness to mentor other team members in best practices, code quality and tech frameworks
• Agile mindset and full-stack thinking

You should be an expert in:
